Troutdale Veterinarians Provide Wellness, Emergency and Dental Care
Paws and Claws Pet Medical Center has been proudly serving the communities of Gresham and Troutdale for more than 20 years. We are a family owned and operated veterinary clinic.
We treat every pet as if they were our own. Our veterinarian and owner, Ken DeRemer, DVM, has been a proud member of the Troutdale and Gresham communities since 1994. We strive to always offer the best care and veterinary services, which is why we have our own in-house laboratory and radiology departments. This allows us to examine your pet, take samples and examine those samples quickly in order to make a rapid diagnosis.
We are also partnered with Antech, who provides us with high-quality routine sample analyses. In addition, we also work with the Multnomah County Animal Clinic to provide free wellness examinations. Our goal is to diagnose your pet’s ailment and provide treatment that will help your pet recover and continue to live a happy, healthy life.
Our Pet Specialties
Our veterinarians examine and treat dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, pocket pets and reptiles. If your gerbil, hamster, mouse, snake or bird is experiencing symptoms of illness, do not hesitate to bring them into our office. We care for much more than cats and dogs.
Our staff is dedicated to providing high-quality, caring, veterinary services to all pets that enter through our doors. We offer wellness care and preventative medicine, dental care, vaccinations, microchipping, laboratory and radiology services, emergency care and surgery. We also offer hospice care and euthanasia for pets at the end of their lives.
We recommend that all dogs and cats receive yearly examinations as a part of their routine wellness care. By having your pet examined, it allows us to catch illnesses early, when they are easiest to treat. Pets are very good at hiding pain. This means that by the time your dog or cat starts exhibiting symptoms, the illness is far advanced.
As a part of our routine care offerings, we offer pet dental examinations and cleanings. Dogs and cats are prone to tooth decay and oral health problems. By getting your pet’s teeth cleaned and mouth examined yearly, you are helping prevent dangerous infections and tooth extractions.
Do not hesitate to bring your pet to one of our clinics in the event of an emergency. We have a clinic in Troutdale and one in Greshem to help handle your worst pet emergencies. We understand that pets sometimes eat foods and items that could cause them harm and sometimes they fall ill very quickly. Our dedicated staff can assess your pet’s emergency and provide fast care to stabilize your pet.
