Trifexis is a chewable flavored tablet that kills adult fleas and protects against the intestinal parasites: heartworm, hookworm, roundworm and whipworm. Like Comfortis, it uses the active ingredient spinosad to kill adult fleas. This ingredient begins killing fleas in 30 minutes, with a 100% kill in 4 hours. Trifexis also includes the active ingredient milbemycin oxime, which is used in the prevention of internal parasites. this product is available for dogs only.
