When a business has a 21-year history in the same community, you can be pretty sure that they’re doing something right! And with a veterinary clinic can boast of serving generations of pet owners, it’s obvious that they have done a lot of things right.
That’s the case with Paws & Claws.
More than Dogs and Cats
The history of this established pet medical center that serves the communities of Troutdale and Gresham is interesting, but the reason for its success and longevity can be boiled down to two words: Trust. Diversity.
There are other words that are appropriate as well: Caring, innovative, committed and passionate come to mind.
When Dr. Ken DeRemer began practicing in the Portland area in the early Eighties, he offered a house-call service in this area. Paws & Claws was founded in 1994, and it was established on the still relevant premise that quality healthcare for all pets is vital.
Today, our caring staff provides full veterinary services not only for dogs, cats, birds and small mammals, but it’s uniquely equipped to treat exotic pets as well.
A Family Practice, and More
Over the years, our practice has grown to include not only additional veterinarians trained in specialties that include pet dental care, and chronic conditions such as diabetes, and geriatric care, but Dr. DeRemer’s wife and son both work in the practice as well.
Our family involvement extends to our “family” of pet owners, and we strive to respond to our clients’ needs in that way. You can be sure that we share your concern for the well-being of your beloved animals. Whatever you need — well-animal exams for a new bunny, emergency care for a sick bird, nutrition guidance for an iguana, or required vaccinations for your cat or dog, we’re here to serve you.
What People Say
We appreciate the kind words we hear. And we love it when you share your “I love this practice” comments on Google+ and other social media. Keep it up, and we’ll keep doing what we do best — that’s caring for your pets!
